Sage Showbrowser is a free web browser for Windows 10 and 11, published by Sage. It keeps your browsing on your own machine: there is no account to create and no cloud sync, and usage counts are sent only if you agree when the app first asks. History, bookmarks, passwords and site permissions are stored in your Windows profile and are never uploaded.
Downloads for Windows are available on this page: a small web installer and a full offline installer. There is an iPhone and iPad version too, free on the App Store.

Ad and tracker blocking is built in, using the EasyList and EasyPrivacy rules, so no extension is needed. HTTPS-First upgrades connections on its own and shows a full-screen warning when a site cannot manage it. Secure DNS over HTTPS keeps the names of the sites you visit away from whoever runs the network. Third-party cookies — the way one company follows you across many sites — can be blocked outright. Dangerous-site protection compares pages against a list held on your own machine, so no address is ever sent anywhere for checking.
Saved passwords can be checked against known breaches without the password leaving the device, and imported or exported as CSV so nothing is locked in. Camera, microphone, location and notification permissions are blocked by default and granted one site at a time.
Split view puts two pages side by side in one window. Vertical tabs, tab groups, pinned tabs, a reader mode, read aloud, find in page, a QR code for the current page, print to PDF, picture in picture, per-site zoom, separate profiles, a task manager and a memory saver that sleeps idle tabs are all present.
There is no cross-device sync, because there is no account. Extensions can only be loaded unpacked, not from the Chrome Web Store. Page translation is deliberately absent: it would mean sending the page to someone else. There is no macOS or Linux build yet, and the Android app is not on Google Play yet.
